About Brian Stearns

I am a wildlife photographer specializing in photographing wild animals in their natural habitats. I have a lifelong fascination with nature that drives my passion to document and portray the uniqueness of these animals. My hope is that these photographs will cause you to stop and take notice of the infinite diversity of the natural world around you and spark a desire in you to protect the natural environment these animals need to survive. The majority of photographs on this website were taken in east-central Illinois, with a few from Southern Illinois and Northeastern Illinois.

Updates

May 19, 2011

Just got done with another big update. I added pics of 10 new species of birds including, Black & White Warbler, Blackpoll Warbler, White-faced Ibis, White-crowned Sparrow, White-throated Sparrow, American Redstart, Solitary Sandpiper, Eastern Towhee, Great-crested Flycatcher and Least Flycatcher. Also in the birds gallery are new pictures of, Sandhill Cranes, Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Sora, Yellow Warbler and Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

April 17, 2011

Just got done with a big update to the birds gallery. I added some new species and new photos of species aleready listed. The new species are: American Black Duck, Horned Grebe, Common Loon, Pectoral Sandpiper, Wilson's Snipe, Coopers Hawk, American Woodcock and Downy Woodpecker. Other new photos are Gadwall, Lesser Yellowlegs, Red-winged Blackbird, American Coot, Blue-winged Teal, Green-winged Teal, Sandhill Crane and Northern Shoveler. As usual, just mouse over an image to see when it was taken.

Just got done adding some new pics to the birds gallery. There are new Eagle pics, Ring-necked Pheasants, Horned lark and American Tree Sparrow.
